WebLearn is now only accessible from within the University network

WebLearn can only be accessed by computers plugged into the University's network or connected via Eduroam or most college wi-fi networks.

OXAM - Online Past Exam Papers

OXAM still resides in WebLearn so, as you are not within the University network, you will need to use the University's Virtual private network (VPN) service.

Once you are connected to VPN, this link to OXAM will work.

You will not be able to use third-party VPN software.

WebLearn decommissioning update - October 2022

WebLearn is now closed for general use - the service will be withdrawn during 2023.

If you are currently using WebLearn for any on-going activities, you must move this activity to an alternative platform immediately.

It is no longer possible to upload or create documents: 'write access' to Resources and Drop Box has been withdrawn. 'WebDAV' access has also been removed.

In addition, WebLearn can now only be used from within the University network.

Anybody attempting to access WebLearn from a non-Oxford University IP address will see a 'guidance page' containing links to download the University's Virtual Private Network (VPN) client. WebLearn can be accessed just as normal when one is connected to the University network via VPN.

You may need to make special arrangements if you need non-SSO account holders to access WebLearn.

The following features were withdrawn earlier in 2022:

  • New Lessons Pages
  • New Announcments
  • New Assignments
  • New Gradebook items
  • Forums
  • New Calendar entries
  • New Sign up events
  • Creation of polls, chat sessions, email lists and syllabus
  • Sending email messages using the Messages tool
  • Using news feeds (RSS) in WebLearn

If you have any questions about alternatives to WebLearn or if the withdrawal of these facilities presents a significant problem for you, please get in touch via email.
