Printed in upright Roman font. Spaces are left for poem and book initials, with small guide letters: unambitious black initials have been executed in manuscript on ff. 1-10r. On the title page the 'P' of Plautus has been expanded into an embellished red initial; likewise red capitals have been executed at the start of Bacchides (after Epidicus), and there are occasional manuscript annotations throughout (e.g. first page of Miles Gloriosus).
